Office of External Affairs
Every day, DEP works to ensure greater engagement of citizens and other stakeholders in carrying out the department's priorities. To that end, DEP’s Office of External Affairs promotes public involvement in the shaping of environmental regulations and policies, fostering environmental justice and equality and promoting outreach and education.
DEP also showcases those companies and organizations that help build a healthier, stronger Pennsylvania through pollution prevention, waste reduction, recycling, indigenous resource use and technological innovation through the Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence.
